Rocky Parent, Business Agent
Rocky has been a Teamster member since May of 1986, when he was hired at the Pabst Brewing Co., Tumwater.
He was elected as assistant shop steward in 1992 at Pabst Brewery, and elected as Lead Steward in September of 1999. He was elected to the Executive Board of Local 378 in November of 2001. Rocky was hired by Local 378 as Business Agent in September of 2003 where he worked until Local 378 merged with Local 252 on January 1, 2004 and he became a Local 252 business agent.
Rocky is the delegate to the Olympia and Vicinity Building Trades for Local 252, current co-chairperson for the Governor’s Vehicle and Fleet Panel for the Governor’s Industrial Safety and Health Conference, and the Human Rights and Political Action Representative for Local 252.
His wife, Debbie, and he work with the Foster/Adopt program at the Department of Social and Health Services in the recruitment and retention of Foster Parents. They currently have eight children at home, and always have room for one more.
